Eindhoven, 23 march 2020:
The impact of the Covid-19 can be felt and seen across the globe as well as at our company. At Linde, we are committed first and foremost to the health and safety of our employees, customers, patients, contractors, business partners, as well as the communities and environment in which we operate.
We take the Covid-19 pandemic very seriously. In addition to our standard operation practices, we have taken additional precautions regarding travel and hygiene, as well as managing expected behaviors of our employees and external contractors, in order to limit, insofar as possible, the spread of the virus. Our further goal is to ensure that we can maintain operations and supply with the lowest adverse impact possible.
We follow the developments and recommendations from the local authorities closely and we have contingency plans in place for us to be able to secure, to the best of our abilities, our deliveries. Our contingency planning considers various options for alternative operation and/or supply solutions, variations in staffing or the replenishing of reserves. Our primary objective is to take all reasonable efforts to secure safe operations and stable supplies as appropriate and we certainly take precautionary measures aiming to adequately prepare for potentially increased production and distribution complexities.
We are also trying to keep our employees out of risk and encouraging the ones who can work from home to do so. However, as an essential supplier in these critical times, we must be physically present to support our customers in need. We are especially proud of those employees who are ensuring our supply is uninterrupted - our production and sales colleagues, drivers and contractors. All of them are rigorously following public health guidance, ensuring that our products arrive at customers safely.
By working together, we will manage to get through these challenging times.
